I had a such a fantastic time last night, and everyone was just so awesome. I can't believe how fantastic my friends are. Kirby, Helen, Andrew, Sarah, Jojo etc. got me a subscription to t-post which is so amazingly exciting! I can't wait for the first t-shirt to arrive. Kirby also made me a tardis cake, which was impossible to eat because the icing turned your hands blue, but was the coolest cake ever. Wes and Cam got me a photo mosaic of a picture of myself. It's really cool, people spent the night trying to find themselves in the smaller pictures (it is made out of all of my facebook friends' profile pictures)

Basically the night was excellent. Only two days until my actual birthday, and I'll be 19!

memories.

I just came across an old journal of mine from when I was in France in year 10.
It was pretty funny. And filled with some interesting things, such as:

Ideas for a book I wanted to write.
such as the line:
"Do you think they consider jumping"
"Why?"
"Because I do."
Blatantly copied and inspired by Mrs. Dalloway, which I read while going to Belle Ille.

A list of the names I want for my children:
Girls: Alice, Amelie, Carrie, Chanel, Elle, Lena, Scarlett
Boys: Nathanial, Felix, Jacob, Alec, Beck, Callum, Daniel, Ethan, Jason, Caleb, Louis, Francisco, Patrick, Tomas
Funnily enough I didn't have Jack. Which is the name I'm adamant my first born son is going to be called.

Tallies from the games of phase 10 we played on Goose Island.

Ratings for movies I had watched. Most of which I watched on inflight movies going to and from France:
Beyond Boarders **
Kill Bill: Vol 1 ****
Lost in Translation *** 1/2
Sylvia **
Mona Lisa Smile ****1/2
Mystic River *1/2
Brother Bear ****1/2
Donnie Darko *****
Gothika *****
Psycho ****
Romeo and Juliet ***1/2
The Others ***1/2
The Closet ***
Ring 2 ***

I think some of the movies that got the best ratings, either got them because of how scared they made me... or how much they made me cry.

I love rediscovering things from the past.

movie magic.

I filmed the majority of my movie for StoryTech this afternoon.
By this afternoon I mean tonight, because it took about 5 hours.
But it is pretty much all done now. I just have to get some sound and make a few more intros etc.
I'll post a link once I'm done.

I feel like everything (uni/life etc.) is all just coming together right now.
I feel pretty happy with stuff.

thats always a good way to be.

hard rubbish.

I have been in love with hard rubbish since I first fell in love with photography.
Hard rubbish was the first things I photographed for the sake of photography.

The other night we took to the streets in the mighty blue beast, and furnished a car port with fantastical objects that others saw as trash.
Things like that completely make my night.

Tomorrow me and Sarah will start a commando style 9 routine, and we shall completely rock out my halloween party.

love affair.

I've fallen in love with Peter Carey.
I was already sort of in love with him, but I bought his book "collected stories" and now I'm just even more in love.

Plus. I feel all intellectual reading.

I also want to buy John Green's book, "Paper Towns". Just because I keep hearing about it, and it sounds interesting. I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

dinosaur bones.

I really want to go to the museum to see the dinosaur egg exhibit when it comes to Adelaide. I was telling Roxy the other day how I wanted to go anyway, because I think the last time I went to the museum I was about 8... But something about dinosaur eggs and babies just seems really cool.

I also walked past this guy the other day. He reminded me of the little drawings that you do on other people's notebooks, or the pictures Hannah would draw me in practice exams on her notes paper. Last year in one of my media lectures me and Nick drew an entire story about dinosaurs breaking out of an enclosure and killing people. I would keep drawing things to stop the dinosaurs, and he would keep drawing ways for the dinosaurs to outsmart my road blocks.

I wish I could drawn slimy blobs as good as this guy though...

Bisous!

to make a house a home.

A little while ago I realise that I'm not going to be living in my unit for much longer.
Once I'm gone, I wont really have anything left of it.

I've already lived in five different places my whole life, a few more if you count short term.
When I went back to Vietnam in 2006 I found out that one of my old apartment buildings had been bulldozed.

I just think it's a little sad that at one point these places were mine, but now I have nothing left of them at all.

American Apparel.

American Apparel are coming to Adelaide.
ZOMG. ha.

I slightly excited, because although I've never bought anything from American Apparel. I'm a complete groupie.

I've also completely got into Phoenix - United. Especially "If I Ever Feel Better"
I'm also immersing myself in the Smiths.
Possibly instead of focussing on music I should be looking at studying for exams and my final assignments for Broadcast and Story-tech. Unlikely.

Bisous
